Ingredients:
- 4 cups washed seedless black grapes
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 0.5 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tbsp vodka (optional, but it helps stabilize the sorbet)
Preparation:
- In a blender, puree the grapes, sugar, lemon zest, and juice until smooth. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook for 30 seconds, then remove from the heat. Strain the puree through a fine sieve and discard any remaining juice. Stir in the vodka.
- Let the mixture cool in the refrigerator, then pour it into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions, or freeze it in a shallow container in the freezer, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
