Chocolate bread pudding

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups of chopped stale bread
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tbsp. chocolate granules

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Place the bread in a round, deep, greased pie dish. In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, a pinch of salt, vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon. Add the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture over the bread and gently toss. Let sit for 15 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the liquid.
  3. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the pudding is set but not dry.
