Lemon Basil Slush

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 cups of ice
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice (fresh or thawed)
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves

Preparation:

  1. To make simple sugar syrupIn a small saucepan, combine sugar with 1 cup of water and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves, 2-3 minutes, then let cool.
  2. Pour the sugar syrup into a blender with ice, lemon juice, and basil and blend until smooth. Serve chilled.
