Chocolate fondue with roasted marshmallows on a stick topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 340 g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 graham crackers
- 1/4 cup toasted salted almonds
- 2 cups strawberries, hulled
- 2 cups of 2.5 cm pieces of fruit, such as kiwi and mango
- 1 package (450 g) large marshmallows
- Additional equipment: 18 12-inch bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes; 6 small ramekins
Preparation:
- Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until bubbles form around the edges and steam begins to rise. Place the chocolate in a large bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 3 minutes. Stir until smooth, then fold in the sour cream. Pour the ganache into 6 small ramekins.
- Grind the graham crackers and almonds in a food processor until crumbly (or finely chop with a knife). Sprinkle the mixture over the ganache in the ramekins.
- Thread strawberries, sliced fruit, and marshmallows onto skewers. Hold the skewers over a campfire or open flame, turning, until the marshmallows are toasted. Dip the skewers in the chocolate fondue and enjoy!
