Ingredients:
Honey syrup with sage
- 1 sage leaf
- 140 g of honey
Cocktail
- 3 blackberries
- 45 ml bourbon
- 40 ml lemon juice
- 1 sage leaf
Preparation:
- Make honey syrup with sage:
In a small saucepan, bring 3/4 cup of water and sage to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 7-10 minutes. Remove the sage leaf and stir in the honey to dissolve. Let cool.
- Make a cocktail:
Muddle the blackberries in a shaker. Add bourbon, lemon juice, and 20-40 ml of honey-sage syrup. Add ice and shake well.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass. Rub a sage leaf between your palms to release its aroma, and place it on top of the cocktail.
