Fried steak for breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 6 striploin steaks (280 g each)
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chopped rosemary leaves
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
  • For servingfried eggs

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 230°C.
  2. Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, garlic, and black pepper. Marinate the tenderloin in this mixture for 60 minutes.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Season the steaks with salt. Place them in the hot pan (the marinade contains enough oil, so no frying oil is needed). Cook for 2 minutes, flip, cook for 1 minute, and transfer to a baking sheet.
  4. Continue cooking the remaining steaks. Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook until doneness is desired. For medium-rare, bake for 9 minutes. Serve with a fried egg.
