Sticky chicken wings in the oven topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
Wings
- 90 g chicken wings, cut at the joint (discard the tips)
- 1 tbsp dark sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice (1 lime)
Sauce
- 3 tablespoons of clover honey
- 1 tbsp Korean chili paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
Preparation:
- Place the wings in a zip-lock plastic bag. Add sesame oil, soy sauce, and lime juice to the bag. Seal and toss the wings to coat with the marinade. Refrigerate and marinate for 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Place wings on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the Spicy Honey Glaze with Korean Gochujang Paste and Garlic. Combine the honey, chili paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and garlic in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir until smooth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the oven and pour the glaze over them. Toss with a spatula to coat thoroughly. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the glaze has set. Toss the wings to coat thoroughly, and serve.
