Fried steak in teriyaki sauce with Yin and Yang vegetables topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
Steak
- 1 flank steak weighing approximately 1 kg.
- 2 tablespoons of crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Teriyaki sauce for greasing
Vegetables
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 sweet peppers, halved, seeded and cut into strips
- 2 zucchinis, halved lengthwise and cut into half-moon pieces
- 1 onion, cut into half rings
Preparation:
- Steak:
Place the steak on a baking sheet or platter and rub with garlic and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to high heat. Brush the steak with a small amount of teriyaki sauce. Grill the steak until medium-rare, about 6 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest.
- Vegetables:
In a large, deep skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the pepper, zucchini, and onion and cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice the steak thinly across the grain. Serve with vegetables.
