Ingredients:
- 8 Orange Pekoe tea bags
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (6-8 lemons) + lemon wedges for serving
- 1.5 cups of vodka
- Fresh mint
Preparation:
- Place the tea bags in a large heatproof pitcher and pour 5 cups of boiling water over them. Let steep for about 10 minutes. Discard the tea bags.
Prepare simple sugar syrup: Combine 1 cup of water and sugar in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
- Meanwhile, pour half the tea into ice cube trays and freeze until completely set, about 3 hours. Refrigerate the remaining tea.
- Add 1 cup of sugar syrup, lemon juice, 5 cups of cold water, and vodka to a pitcher of chilled tea. Add ice cubes. Pour the drink into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and mint.
