Iced cocoa with mint candies and schnapps topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/4 cups milk
- 0.5 cups cream
- 220 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 tbsp. mint schnapps
- Whipped cream, for decoration
- Crushed red and white peppermint candies or candy canes, for topping
Preparation:
- Combine the milk and cream in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until bubbles begin to form around the edges. Add the chopped chocolate and turn off the heat. Stir until the chocolate melts. Remove from heat and let cool for 10–15 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract, then refrigerate until completely cool, about 45 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan and add the chocolate mixture to a blender. Add the schnapps and 2 cups of ice and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour evenly into 2 glasses and garnish with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies.
