White Chocolate Brownies topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 370 g dark chocolate
- 255 g chopped white chocolate
- 150 g of crushed lollipops
- 370 g butter
- 6 eggs
- 340 g of sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups plus 2 tablespoons of premium wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- About 2 teaspoons powdered sugar for dusting
- Additional equipment: 20 birthday cake candles (optional)
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
Line the sides and bottom of a 33x23x5 cm baking dish with foil or parchment paper.
In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter and dark chocolate over low heat. In a bowl or large measuring cup, whisk the eggs with the sugar and vanilla extract.
Let the chocolate mixture cool slightly, then add the eggs and sugar and beat well. Stir in the flour and salt. Then add the white chocolate and candy canes. Beat until combined, and pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes. The brownies are ready when the surface is lightly browned and the center is still dark, dense, and chewy.
Even though the layer is large, check it regularly: the difference between moist and dry brownies is only a few minutes. Also, remember that the cooking process will continue as they cool.
- To serve, cut the brownies into squares while the base is still warm and place on a large plate, dusting with powdered sugar, pressing it through a fine sieve with a spoon. Add candles, if desired. Light them and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
