Cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto

Ingredients:

  • 60 g goat cheese, room temperature
  • 60 g mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 16 medjool dates (350 g), pitted
  • 8 thin slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the cheese and basil, season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Carefully open the dates and fill them with about 0.5 teaspoon of the cheese mixture. Close the dates with the filling inside. Wrap each date with a slice of prosciutto and secure with a toothpick.
  2. Arrange the stuffed dates on a platter and serve.
