Hoisin Spiced Glaze topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp seasoning Five Spices
- 1 tbsp peanut or vegetable oil
- 1 cup Chinese Hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 3 tbsp. l. rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cup of water
Preparation:
- Toast the five-spice powder in a saucepan with peanut oil for 1 minute over medium heat. Add hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and water.
- Cook the mixture until it reduces in volume to 1.5 cups, about 5 minutes.
- Hoisin glaze (pictured above) is a great glaze for poultry.
