Pears in cinnamon-anise syrup with cream topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 pears, peeled, halved and cores removed
- 1 cup of water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tube cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 star anise
Preparation:
- Combine the pears, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and star anise in a heatproof bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 8 minutes.
Cook pears until soft.
- Meanwhile, beat the cream, powdered sugar and ground cinnamon with a mixer on high speed until fluffy and thick.
Serve pears with cinnamon cream and syrup.
